Does your pet food list just "chicken" or "lamb" as the FIRST ingredient?
There is a considerable amount of water in chicken or lamb. Legally, because of weight, it can be listed as the first ingredient on the bag label. However, when the ingredients are cooked, the amount of chicken or lamb in the food can move to 3rd or 4th place - reducing the total meat value to the pet. The actual amount of meat your pet is getting may be less that the current 4th ingredient! Is that what you thought you were getting?
